SkinPen is the first microneedling device in the world cleared by the U.S. FDA. It has clinically proven results for treating acne scars safely and effectively. In addition to treating acne scars, a SkinPen treatment is also extremely effective in firming and smoothing the skin by stimulating fibroblasts, which produce collagen and elastin. Think of the reduction of pigmentation (including melasma, pregnancy mask) so that the skin looks smooth and radiant again. Refining pores and reducing fine lines.
The SkinPen creates 1600 micro channels per second in the skin by means of sterile needles that vibrate into the skin. This activates the natural repair process deep in the skin, creating new collagen and elastin. Collagen provides volume and firmness to the skin, while elastin provides elasticity to the skin. The result: the skin becomes firmer and fuller and the skin complexion more even, fresher, and more radiant.
Indications: Acne scars, pigmentation, wrinkles, fine line, sagging and dull skin.
As an active microneedling treatment, there may be slight swelling and a pulling sensation. The treatment can also give an irritating (stinging) and/or burning (warm red skin) feeling and pinpoint bleeding can occur. Normally these effects disappear within 24 - 48 hours. The skin closes within 18-24 hours after the treatment. Within this time, only the Skinfuse Lift (you will receive) may be applied. For the next 24 hours, the client applies the Skinfuse RESCUE (you get it). The redness of the treated area can last for several hours to days.
The skin after the treatment is more vulnerable. This means that you should avoid sunlight/tanning beds, sports, swimming, sauna, hot showers or baths and other influencing factors for up to 72 hours after the treatment.
During 4 weeks after the treatment, the skin must be well protected against sunlight outdoors, but also behind glass with a minimum SPF 30.
Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight for 24 hours prior to treatment
STOP using topical retinoids and active ingredients up to 3 days prior to treatment
Several treatments (cure 1 x month) are needed to achieve an effective and sustainable result
Contraindications: pregnancy, active inflamed acne, using Cortisone or Accutane, skin cancer, active couperose or/and rosacea, chronic skin disease such as eczema or psoriasis, active herpes.
The treatment contains 45min microneedeling and 15min LED therapy and a treatment kit afterwards.
